The Indiana Bar Foundation, and the Indiana District 4 Pro Bono Corporation will host “Talk to a Lawyer Day,” a pro bono program to provide free legal assistance to the underserved on Friday, October 26th from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Indiana University, Kokomo Campus, Kelly Student Center, KC130B.
The program is part of an annual event sponsored by the American Bar Association to promote pro bono legal services to the public and within the legal profession. Attorneys will provide a free 10 to 15 minute consultation to answer general questions regarding civil legal matters.
First held in 2009, Celebrate Pro Bono was established by the American Bar Association to coordinate a national effort to meet the ever-growing needs of this country’s most vulnerable citizens by encouraging and supporting local efforts to expand the delivery of free legal services. The effort is also designed to showcase the pro bono contributions of lawyers to the nation, its system of justice, its communities and, most importantly, to the clients they serve.
