Ducky Day in Tipton Park is a family friendly celebration hosted, not as a fundraiser, but as a gift to the community by the Tipton County Foundation and local sponsors.
Community organizations like the Boys & Girls Club of Tipton County hav organized games, crafts, inflatable bounce houses, and other fun. Many local groups including the Girl Scouts, Kiwanis, the Tipton County Library, the Tipton Community Theatre and the Salvation Army will conduct activities that youth can enjoy. Student Council members from Tipton and Tri-Central will be volunteering to help staff at each of these venues. Also, throughout the afternoon there will be free entertainment at the Gazebo by Tipton County performers.
The purchase of a $3 bracelet will give children access to all of these activities. In addition, each wristband comes with a gold doubloon which can be redeemed for one of the refreshments on sale at the park. The Tipton Kiwanis Club will provide soda and hotdogs, while Tipton County Mustard Seed will offer ice cream.
The event is scheduled from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm with a Duck Pond Drawing at 3:45 for some fantastic prizes. We hope to see everyone there!
