General Motors Recalling 400k Pickup Trucks

In an announcement over the weekend, GM says they are recalling over 400,000 trucks because of faulty roof-rail airbags. According to the National Highway and Traffic safety administration, the airbag inflator end cap can detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall can rupture.

Affected vehicles are

-2015 Chevrolet and GMC 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks

-2016 Chevrolet and GMC 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks

But the recall doesn’t cover all the trucks produced in that span.

If you want to know if your vehicle is being recalled, click here. Enter your VIN and it will let you know.

No crashes have occurred from these issues however. And it has been announced the replacements will be done at no cost to you.
