Howard County Health Department COVID-19 Testing Clinic Operational Date
DATELINE – The Howard County Health Department announces start date for the Local COVID-19 Testing Clinic.
The Howard County Health Department will begin operations at their COVID-19 Testing Clinic on October 12, 2020. The clinic will be located at 620 North Bell Street in Kokomo. It will be open from 8:00am-12pm Monday and Tuesdays, from 8am-7pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from 8am-1pm on Saturdays during the month of October. Hours will expand in November. On Fridays, the main clinic will be closed; however, the Community Howard CareMobile will operate as a drive-thru testing site in various locations around the county from 9am-3pm. The CareMobile will visit the Greentown Family Medicine Care located at 118 South Meridian Street in Greentown on October 16th, the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library South Branch located at 1755 East Center Road in Kokomo on October 23rd, and Ivy Tech located at 1942 East North Street in Kokomo on October 30th. Testing will be free for Hoosiers. Public restrooms will not be available.
Patients do not need to meet any testing requirements in order to obtain a test.
An appointment is recommended but not required. You may schedule an appointment by visiting https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/. It is advised to complete the registration questions and consents prior to your appointment. Please allow ample time to complete your appointment. Starting October 12th, the you may also call the clinic at 456-7303. Please wear a face covering to the appointment.
The Optum testing site located at the Kokomo Senior Center at 721 West Superior Street in Kokomo will continue to operate during the month of October.
