Hi!! I’m April and I’m so excited to meet you! I am a Kokomo native who graduated from Eastern
Howard School Corporation. After college I moved to Los Angeles California, Boise Idaho and Orlando
Florida. You know what they say… Home is where the heart is so I moved back home to Kokomo to raise
my children and be around family. When I moved back, I was so excited about the progressive changes
that Kokomo had made. I wasy so excited that I wanted to share these amazing changes with the
wonderful people of Kokomo. This is where my media career began. I have written for newspapers,
Worked for KGOV2 on their public educational channel where I became the first local news anchor in
the city of firsts. More recently I helped start an online newspaper called The Kokomo Lantern. Now I
have the most amazing opportunity to work for the radio station I grew up listening to!!
I’m a mother of 5 kiddos and a crazy pup named Henry. We enjoy family activities like fishing and
skateboarding and Scouting. I am the scoutmaster of a female BSA troop 628 in Greentown. I adore vinyl
records and playing the ukulele. You can find me at local events soaking in what the best city in the
world has to offer, Hiking or camping. I can’t wait to see you out there!!
