The chicken sandwich war has been going on for years and I’m still continuing to be surprised by the new products being added to fast food restaurants! I jalapeno popped over to the Wendy’s on S. Lafountain in Kokomo to see how good this new chicken sandwich was and holy cow it was delicious! The Jalapeno Popper Chicken Sandwich debuted today at Wendy’s locations nationwide. It features spicy chicken filet, jalapeno cream cheese, three slices of Applewood smoked bacon, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and cheddar cheese sauce all wrapped in a bun. The creaminess of the jalapeno cream cheese pairs excellently with the crispiness of the spicy chicken filet. I’ll even be honest and say that I had a few errands to run and so the sandwich was left in the bag for like 25 minutes before I even had the chance to take a bite. It was still super delicious and I can’t wait to enjoy another one! But how will it fair against other new chicken sandwiches?
McDonald’s has 3 new sandwiches coming next week. Burger King and KFC have new chicken sandwiches coming later this year. And with the Popeyes coming to Kokomo (still haven’t tried their sandwich), I have no idea who will take the crown as the chicken king.
