Happy Wednesday everyone! A very hot Wednesday. (I mean for real can we cool off a little mother nature?!)
This past weekend was a big weekend for Disney +! They saw a HUGE increase in subscriptions over the 4th of July weekend and the majority of the reason for that is because of the addition of Hamilton to the Disney app lineup.
The incredibly popular Broadway play was filmed back in 2016 and added to Disney for everyone to enjoy. In fact, it was added earlier than expected as a gift to us during quarantine!
I have always wanted to see it! I’ve heard nothing but great things about it over the past few years. But it NEVER seemed to have open shows! It was all luck of the draw through the Broadway lottery.
But here we are. A front row seat to the biggest Broadway show. And for free (aside from the Disney subscription price) Would I recommend watching it? In 2 words- HECK. YES. I didn’t know what to expect when I pressed play. The first thing I noticed was that it is well over 2 hours. Which didn’t bother me. I grabbed all the essentials- blanket, snacks, and a drink and hit play. I was blown away. The talent of every single person in this play is incredible and well deserved of every award that they have won. I am not really into history movies and tv shows. However, this was different. In fact, I felt really smart after it was all over. Lol! I know that I’ve learned about the Founding Fathers in school growing up, but once I took the test, that information seems to have escaped my brain. I really enjoyed the refresher history lesson! And you will too!
And while you’re at it- you’re going to want to pick up the soundtrack too! Trust me on this one!
