On My Way Pre-K awards grants to 4-year-olds from low-income families, so they may have access to high-quality Pre-K programs. Eligible families may use the grant at any approved OMW program. Approved programs may be located in a public or private school, licensed child care center, licensed home, or registered ministry. Families may choose from a program that is full or part-day, as well as from programs that end with the school year or continue through the summer.
Currently, the approved providers in Howard County are Bona Vista’s Keys for Kids, Finding Me Now, Microchips, and the YMCA Child Care Development Center.
Families must meet the low-income requirements, and parents/guardians must be working or taking classes at an accredited/certified education or training program.
Families can visit www.onmywayprek.org to fill out an application, or call Kim Gordon at 765-480-5135. Families may pick up paper applications at Child Care Solutions, 123 N Buckeye Street, Kokomo, IN.
