Erin’s Feel Good Blog: Boston Adventures!

Have you ever heard that Relient K (also Veggie Tales) song? “The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything”? 1. Listen to it. Its a classic. 2. There’s a line in there that says “And I’ve never been to Boston in the Fall”. I remember growing up and listening to it and that line stuck out to me always! Well now, I technically can’t sing it truthfully because going to Boston in the Fall is exactly what I just did!

What a week it was! Boston is FULL of history. Around every corner. Quite literally. You can follow a red line painted on the street that will lead you to all the great historical landmarks! It’s called The Freedom Trail. I’ve never been to the East Coast and I wanted to make sure that I got there during the Fall. The weather was perfect Fall weather. Every. Single. Day. Boots and sweaters. I couldn’t ask for more!

We spent a lot of time in Downtown Boston. Boylston Street is full of shopping AND The Boston Marathon Finish Line which I totally snapped a picture with! Smack dab in the North End of Boston between the most amazing Italian food and pastry shops is Paul Revere’s house. Just sitting there! We followed the trail, took a picture with his statue, grabbed some good food. It was awesome!

Boston is more than just downtown though. It has so many suburbs that are rich in history. One day we visited Beacon Hill, one of the more ritzy and glamorous suburbs! Home to Acorn Street, one of the most photographed streets in America! Also in Boston, the Cheers Bar (not everyone knew my name as promised), the USS Constitution ship and more!

But my all time favorite thing we did while in New England was visit Salem. It is Halloween time after all! We visited the Salem Witch Museum AND all of the house from Hocus Pocus. I. FREAKED. OUT. They were right there in front of me! AHH!

I had such a nice time with family relaxing and shopping and enjoying the views. AND THE ACCENTS. WE CANNOT FORGET THE ACCENTS. If you ever get the chance to visit, please do! Boston is WICKED AWESAHM.
