The Howard County Recycling District along with Community Howard Regional is having a Medication Disposal Day on Saturday, March 5th from 9am-11am at the Community Howard Surgical Center Drive (US 931 South at the circle drive).
They cannot accept from Nursing homes, doctors, businesses or pharmacies. You will be turned away.
Howard County and City of Kokomo residents are encouraged to bring their old outdated or unwanted medications to this event for proper disposal.
Here is a list of what is accepted:
- Medications
- Medications patches
- Pet scripts
- Vitamins & supplements
- Inhalers
- Sharps and lancets
- Over the counter and capsules
- Lotions, creams & ointments
What to do:
- Bring your meds in their original containers if possible
- Do NOT mix medications together in a bag or bottle
