Wyman Announces Candidacy for Howard County Commissioner

February 2, 2010
- Last evening, to a standing room only crowd of over 200 supporters at the Casa Bella Ballroom, Paul Wyman announced his candidacy for Howard County Commissioner.  Paul Wyman is currently a County Councilman representing the taxpayers in District 2.

His campaign will focus on economic development, job creation, less taxes and smaller government.  "I have a track record as a County Councilman of voting against tax increases, voting for less government spending and making the necessary tough choices when it comes to trimming the budget," said Wyman.

He noted that over 13,000 jobs have been lost in our community over the last decade and he said, "We cannot sit back at watch jobs continually leave our community.  We cannot wait another decade and hope for these jobs to come back.  Our families need these jobs today and we must continue to form strong private public partnerships to make this happen."

On government spending Wyman noted, "Families in our community have been forced to live within their means during these difficult economic times and do more with less, government should be no different."

Wyman is active in the Community, volunteering for a variety of Nonprofit organizations and supporting many community events.  His company, The Wyman Group is one of the Top Real Estate Firms in North Central Indiana.

Wyman has Received the REALTOR of the year award, Small Business Person of the Year Award from the Chamber of Commerce and was awarded the Vocational Achievement award by his fellow Rotarian in 2009.  Wyman also just finished his term as President of the Indiana Association of REALTORS representing over 15,000 members state wide.
