Greg Bell
Greg is the legendary voice of Sports Reporting in Kokomo since 1983. Very few individuals in this position have come before Greg in the history of radio broadcasting in Kokomo. Greg's Play-By-Play is heard mostly on AM 1350 WIOU, home of the Kokomo Wildkats athletics, but occasionally games are placed on WZWZ or WMYK.
Greg hails from Buffalo, New York. He chose Butler University for his college education and that\'s how he lands in Indiana.
Greg cherishes the time when he called the play-by-play of Kats Basketball while his son Matt was a key player. He was also given the honor of being a guest play-caller on the Army Broadcasting Network during the Bucknell game. Greg has a unique ability to quickly memorize a roster and follow the players by name on both sides of game.
Greg is a member of the Board of Director for the Howard County Sports Hall of Fame.
Greg lives in Kokomo, with his wife Ronda and four sons: Derrick; Matt; Bill and Alex.
He has received many awards for his work:
* 1988 United Press International, Sports Play-By-Play, Broadcaster of the Year.
* 1996 IHSAA Distiguished Service Award
* 1999 Indiana Broadcasters Association, Sportscaster of the Year.
* 2007 Inducted into the Indiana Wrestling Hall of Fame.
* 2009 IHSAA Coaches, Media Award Winner.
