Ben’s Food Review: Burger King’s Mac N’ Cheetos Flamin’ Hot

I’m a sucker for limited time only stuff. When the unicorn frappuccino came to Star Bucks I was first in line, and the same for the chicken fried tacos at Taco Bell, so naturally I’m going to check out these Mac N Cheetos at Burger King. Overall at Burger King I’m a pretty big fan. The Whopper is one of my favorite fast food burgers (no ketchup or tomatoes since I’m allergic), the chicken fries are spectacular and their breakfast is great. That said, I was underwhelmed by the Mac N’ Cheetos. I like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. I like mac n’ cheese. So naturally if you put the two together I should like it right? They were just okay to me. The thing that makes flame and hot Cheetos so good is the crunch plus the heat. The crunch was very light on these, even though the spice was familiar. I am curious how they get the mac and cheese in there though. That’ll just have to be one of life’s great mysteries. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’d give them a 5. It was a pretty middle of the road gimmick to me. Nothing special. Take it or leave it. If you do decide to eat them, get it with ranch. Ranch improves the flavor quite a bit.
