If you’re expecting a mystery thriller where people are trapped on a train with a murderer that could kill again at any moment, you might be disappointed. Murder on the Orient Express, for those who never saw the original or read the book, is about a world famous detective solving a murder on a train. There are twists and turns throughout the movie that lead you to believe that the killer could be any one of the passengers.
Here’s where the movie falls short:
- There are many questions left unanswered at the end.
- The ending is somewhat disappointing and leaves you feeling as though the story is left unfinished.
- The accents from some of the characters can be difficult to understand at times which makes it easy to miss the dialogue.
That said, this is by no means a bad movie. There have been much better and much worse movies this year. Murder on the Orient Express even with all of its flaws, falls somewhere in the middle in terms of quality.
If I were you, I’d either catch a matinee ( to get the reduced price ticket), or wait until it comes out on Redbox or Netflix.
